Review: Neogen

Neogen
I came across this brand when I stepped into a beauty shop near my neighbourhood. I did not know it was a well-known Korean brand at that time but I decided to try some of the products. On my 1st purchase, I bought the Neogen Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser and Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon. Recently, I went back to the store to get more cleansing products as I've finished the cleanser. Surprisingly, they were having a moving out sale but I'm glad that there is another outlet nearby. I bought the Neogen Real Fresh Cleansing Stick Green Tea and Real Flower Cleansing Water Rose. For starters, Neogen is a Korean skincare and cosmetic company that uses advanced natural science and biotechnology. Personally, I feel that their products are priced reasonably and the packaging is simple and minimalistic.

Real Fresh Foam Cleanser(SGD 19)
On the packaging: A non-irritating, extremely gentle foam cleanser with fresh green tea water and natural nutrients. It gently yet effectively cleanses skin and lifts away impurities without upsetting skin while leaving skin smooth and moisturized.
It is extremely gentle and has a really nice green tea scent that doesn't smell like chemicals. I use it every night and it cleanses well, preventing most of my acne or pimple breakouts. After usage, my skin feels soft and not stripped of moisture. If you are looking for a cleanser suitable for sensitive skin but also cleanses well without having your natural facial oils stripped off, this product is definitely the one. Definitely on my repurchase list!

Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling (SGD 26)
On the packaging: A easy-to-use, soft exfoliating pads that offer all the benefits of home peeling in one set. It provides gentle yet effective exfoliation of dead skin cells and impurities and clarifying of dull skin, leaving skin smoother, brighter, and more luminous.
This product is strongly recommended for lazy or busy people! It exfoliates both physically and chemically! It does not irritate the skin and leaves the skin soft and supple after usage. I've used around 20 pads and my skin has become brighter, with smaller pores after each use. I would recommend this product to all skin types as everyone will require skin exfoliation and it really does a great job at it. I use 1 pad every week as I have other exfloliating products such as the Skinfood Rice Washoff Mask.(As stated on the packaging, use twice a week for best results)

Real Fresh Cleansing Stick (SGD 22)
On the packaging: Formulated with naturally derived ingredients and real green tea leaves to deep clean clogged pores. While effectively cleansing, the green tea seed oil simultaneously supplies the skin with moisture to deliver a clean and moisturized cleansing experience without over-drying skin. This gentle formula performs both make-up removal and cleansing, conveniently simplifying double cleansing into one easy step! Perfect for daily use.
As this product is a solid stick, it is very convenient to carry around especially when travelling as you do not want your products to leak in bags! It foams up when massaged into the skin. It also comes with a lot of product and has real green tea leaves in it, just like the real fresh foam cleanser.

Real Flower Cleansing Water (SGD 20)

On the packaging: A pure cleansing water that moisturizes and smoothes sensitive skin while gently cleansing and removing impurities and makeup without irritation. The formula contains real rose petal extracts and natural cleansing agents to cleanse skin quickly and effectively.
Bought this product as I used the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water(the one in blue) and I feel that sometimes the "oil" clogs up my pores. Decided to get a gentle cleansing water to remove makeup as I tried using a tub of the Banila Co Clean It Zero but it leaves a film on top of my face. I also realised that although the clean it zero has many good reviews and comes with a lot of product, I needed quite a large amount of balm to completely remove my makeup. In addition, after cleansing with clean it zero, there were still some makeup left on the sides of my nose and my lip area despite meticulous cleansing. Cleansing water would be of a better choice as I do double cleansing whenever I put on makeup. The Real Flower Cleansing Water has real petals in it and rose are known to soothe irritated skin.

Having tried 4 different products from the brand, I definitely would rank this among my favourite skincare brands as the ingredients are natural and the products are affordable.

Overall rating: 5/5
